About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Graduate HSE Advisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in a dynamic, field-based environment where you will gain exposure to all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management.
Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of DDH1’s HSE systems while working closely with operational teams across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Site Support
- Conduct regular site visits to support and enhance HSE performance across drilling operations
- Work closely with drill crews, supervisors and operations managers to ensure safe work practices
- Promote a positive safety culture through visible leadership and engagement
- Participate in and deliver toolbox meetings
HSE Systems & Compliance
- Assist in the development and review of HSE Management Plans and Emergency Management Plans
- Support compliance with WHS legislation and ISO standards (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001)
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Assist in development, reviewing and updating procedures, including Safe Work Instructions
Inspections & Risk Management
- Complete inspections and manage corrective actions
- Participate in risk assessments, JHAs and critical risk verifications
- Support the review and update of Safe Work Instructions
Incident & Reporting
- Participate in incident investigations using ICAM methodology
- Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Support HSE reporting and KPI tracking
- Analyse data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and client HSE representatives
About You
Qualifications
- Recently completed or schedule for completion in next 6 months- Bachelor of Science (Health, Safety & Environment), Bachelor Health and Safety or Bachelor of Health Science (Health and Safety).
Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage with a field-based workforce
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Proactive, self-motivated and eager to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn HSE systems
Licences
- Current Driver’s Licence (essential)
