Field Service Drill Fitter
DDH1 Drilling is Australia’s leading ASX-listed mineral drilling contractor, operating one of the largest and most advanced diamond drilling fleets in the country.
With over 70 surface and underground diamond drilling rigs operating across Australia, we are seeking experienced Field Service Drill Fitters to join our growing maintenance team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will provide frontline maintenance support to DDH1’s fleet of surface and underground diamond drilling rigs operating across remote mining and exploration projects.
This role is responsible for breakdown response, fault finding, preventative maintenance, major component replacements and technical support to drilling operations.
Working as part of DDH1’s Field Service team, you will play a critical role in maximising equipment availability and supporting safe, productive drilling operations.

Perform field service breakdown repairs and fault diagnosis on drilling equipment.

Conduct scheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance activities.

Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems.

Carry out major component change-outs and repairs.

Interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Complete detailed maintenance reports and service documentation.

Provide technical support and guidance to drilling operations.

Maintain field service vehicles, tooling and critical spare parts.

Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

Travel to remote mine sites and exploration projects as required.

Full Australian Working Rights.

Strong hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting capability.

Ability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Experience working on drilling equipment, mobile plant or mining equipment.

Ability to work independently in remote environments.

Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Previous diamond drilling experience.

Surface and underground drill rig maintenance experience.
-
CAT ET, OEM diagnostic software and CANBUS experience.

HR Licence.

Forklift, EWP or High Risk Work Licence.

Welding and fabrication experience.
