About our Role
Join the Barminco team as a Site Operations Trainer and support our underground mining operations across Australia, with current opportunities available at sites throughout Western Australia. As a Site Operations Trainer with Barminco, you will play a pivotal role in supporting operational leadership and ensuring our workforce is trained, competent and compliant with safety and operational standards. You will help deliver and coordinate inductions, training programs and upskilling our workforce to build capability across site teams and contribute to a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
What will your day to day look like?
- Support site leadership in implementing and maintaining Barminco’s safety management systems and compliance standards.
- Coordinate new starter mobilisation, including site logistics, inductions, familiarisations and underground tours.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation in line with corporate, site and statutory requirements.
- Support workforce capability development by coordinating operator upskilling and progression plans.
- Deliver and facilitate site and visitor inductions, ensuring all personnel meet compliance requirements.
- Conduct workplace inspections, task observations and field-based safety interactions to proactively identify hazards and manage risk.
- Assist with reviewing and updating site procedures and safe work practices to drive continuous improvement.
Our ideal candidate background includes
- Previous experience in site based training role ideally within an underground mining environment.
- Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
- Ability to effectively lead and coach teams to deliver best for project outcomes.
