Are you looking for your next Tax Accounting opportunity and want to work in a high-performing and cohesive team which offers excellent development opportunities? Perenti Group Services are looking for an experienced Tax Advisor, to join our Corporate Division.

 

As a Tax Advisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring tax compliance, whilst contributing to precise financial reporting, effective tax planning and risk mitigation. Reporting to, and working collaboratively with the Senior Specialist International Tax, you will support on all tax matters, including transfer pricing, tax audits and disputes, tax planning and tax compliance. Furthermore, you will assist with timely preparation of the half-year and annual tax effect accounting for the group, along with lodgement of all Australian corporate tax compliance obligations.

 

 

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Aiding with the tax effect accounting for the group including half-year and annual reporting;
  • Assisting with the preparation and lodgement of the Australian income tax returns;
  • Assist with management of non-Australian tax audits and disputes. This involves engagement with the local finance teams, tax advisors and tax authorities;
  • Support on non- Australian country specific tax compliance requirements;
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual Country by Country Reporting, annual transfer pricing documentation and all other transfer pricing related tax documentation across the Perenti Group (including managing the preparation and review of documentation prepared by third party tax advisors);
  • Assist with guidance on cross border related party transactions and ensure alignment with the Group Transfer Pricing Procedure; and
  • Assist with the Pillar Two (global minimum tax regime) compliance obligations.

 

 

To succeed in this role, you would bring:

  • 3 to 5 years’ of demonstrated experience working with Australian tax compliance;
  • Inhouse tax accounting exposure; ideally within a large, multinational organisation or a tier one/tier two tax consultancy;
  • A degree in Commerce, Accounting, Taxation, or a relevant field;
  • Obtained or studying towards CA/CPA qualification;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and understand stakeholder needs;
  • Motivation, drive and critical thinking skills; and
  • Proven ability to work meticulously, delivering accurate and timely results.
