About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition leader to join our team as Superintendent Talent Acquisition for Perenti Contract Mining. Head-quartered in Perth, we are a large player in the contract mining industry, predominately focused on hard rock underground mining, with a large footprint across Australia, Africa and North America.

We are responsible for the strategic direction of the Talent Acquisition function including strategically positioning ourselves for today’s needs and tomorrow’s business whilst emphasising on the candidate’s journey through the recruitment lifecycle.

This position requires both strategic thinking and operational capability to support the Senior Manager Talent Acquisition in delivering the FY26 Initiatives and functional strategy through value-creating business partnering and thoughtful leadership of a high performing team underpinned by operational discipline. This position will also manage a small recruitment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of professionals to deliver on operational requirements and workforce plans aligned to business critical and operational needs, underpinned by our principles  
  • Support Senior Manager in operationalising the function strategy and FY26 priority work, ensuring meaningful value for the team and business
  • Business partner with Hiring Managers to execute recruitment strategies for personally owned recruitment portfolio
  • Partner with HR, Operations, and functional leaders to align work priorities
  • Analyse functional and performance metrics to optimize efficiency and discipline, measure effectiveness and make improvements
  • Provide business and function reporting and insights to enable data driven decisions and collaborative approaches
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, industrial, and company requirements, embedding robust governance in all recruitment activity.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can balance strategic leadership with execution and delivery, quickly adapt, and continue driving a high-performing function. Ideally, you will bring:

  • 7–10 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition, including at least 3 years in a leadership role with people management
  • A strong background in mining, resources, or heavy industry recruitment
  • Advanced systems and reporting, including data analysis and forecasting
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills
  • A resilient and pragmatic solutions-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
