Specialist Communications
Join Perenti Contract Mining, one of the world’s largest hard rock underground and surface mining services companies, as a Communications Specialist on a 14-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of our Communications Strategy across a global and diverse business.
Perenti Contract Mining includes Barminco, African Underground Mining Services and African Mining Services, operating at 22 mine sites across Africa, Australia and North America. With over 36 years of experience, we partner with clients to deliver high-quality mining services.
About the Role
As a Communications Specialist, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to deliver communications aligned with our strategic priorities. You will help shape messaging that reaches over 7,000 employees globally and gain valuable experience working across global teams.
This role is based at our Hazelmere office, with flexible hybrid working arrangements available. Occasional travel to Australian mine sites will provide firsthand insight into our operations.

What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in internal communications, ideally within a large organisation
- Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of different internal communication channels
- Understanding of social media platforms
- Excellent organisation and project management skills
- Video editing skills (desirable)
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field (desirable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with global leaders to develop and implement communications plans for key business initiatives
- Support the executive / senior leadership team with the development of communication material
- Equip leaders and managers with tools to communicate effectively
- Create and edit engaging content for a range of platforms, including email, newsletters, social media, Viva Engage and Town Hall briefings
- Collaborate with stakeholders globally to create content for our social media platforms
