Shift Supervisor - Bellevue
Barminco has successfully tendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth.
This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than 80% of the site’s power requirements through renewable energy sources.
About the Role
As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Mine Foreperson to join the team on a full-time basis (7/7 FIFO ROSTER ex Perth). These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.
This role provides the first line of supervision and leadership to each respective crew. Allocating tasks, monitoring work progress and quality whilst ensuring that work is carried out adhering to company policy and procedures. Ensuring Critical Risk standards are met and are aligned with Barminco’s Purpose, Principles and Aspirations.
What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?
- Perform the daily supervision on all mine site work areas
- Adhere to all relevant acts and regulations
- Conduct daily work planning and toolbox meetings
- People management and positive, pro-active leadership
- Hands-on role where you will be directly involved in operational issues
- Ensure all key targets are achieved in a safe and cost-effective timely manner by supporting the Project Manager/Alternate and site leadership (Foremen, Shift Supervisors) in the effective implementation of Barminco safety systems and initiatives to improve safety performance.
Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes
- Demonstrated previous Shift Supervisor experience working in underground mining - Production or Development
- Minimum 5 years underground mining operations experience or 2 years if a qualified mining engineer
- Relevant tickets, manual drivers’ licences and qualifications for the role including WA Underground Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace
