We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior HR Business Partner to join our Australian HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension or permanency. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will partner closely with operational and functional leaders to drive people outcomes, support business performance and foster a positive workplace culture.

Based at our Hazelmere Head Office, this role supports predominantly site-based operational portfolios and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll provide trusted advice, influence key people decisions and contribute to strategic HR initiatives. Occasional site travel will be required to maintain strong connections with operational leaders and employees.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Partner with leaders and employees to deliver proactive HR support aligned with business objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with operational managers, employees, employee representatives and key stakeholders.
• Provide expert advice on employment legislation, industrial instruments, employee entitlements and HR best practice.
• Coach and support leaders through employee relations matters, performance management, investigations, disciplinary processes and terminations.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that support business performance and employee engagement.
• Assist in reviewing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and industrial instruments.
• Deliver HR-related training and support leaders to build capability and ensure compliance.
• Contribute to workforce analytics, HR reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure HR processes and practices remain compliant with relevant legislative requirements.
• Participate in occasional site visits to support operational teams and strengthen stakeholder partnerships.

Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a dedicated HR Business Partner role.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Employment and Industrial Relations legislation.
• Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters while balancing commercial and legal considerations.
• Proven ability to coach, influence and build capability in leaders at all levels.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working within mining, resources, construction or other operational environments will be highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related discipline are desirable.
