Officer Transport 1

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Transport Officer to join our Head Office in Hazelmere for an immediate start. Reporting to the Transport Superintendent you will be required for supporting the team with loading and unloading of general freight in accordance with company policies & procedures and adhering to all EHS&T guidelines. Hours of work are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of general freight, including safe operation of Forklift
• Manually load transport containers with freight using safe manual handling techniques
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility legislation
• Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry
• Essential - hold a valid forklift ticket
• Working knowledge of the Chain of Responsibility
• Demonstrated proactive workplace health & safety behaviours
• A positive attitude toward work and is able to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills, good communication, written and interpersonal skills
