Workshop Manager - Component Rebuilds Centre (CRC)
BTP is looking for a Component Rebuilds and Warehouse Manager for our facility in Hazelmere. The focus of this role is the overarching management of the Component Rebuild Workshop and Warehouse operations, to maintain an operational focus and deliver a safe place or work, ensure efficient and effective business group planning and executional excellence, achieve budget and financial metrics.
Supporting Perenti’s Mining and Technology Services division, the successful individual will place a high priority on customer engagement and relationships both internal and external to ensure operational requirements of the business unit are successfully met.BTP has a focused, aligned, and motivated leadership team and is one of Australia’s largest suppliers of new and used parts and equipment for hire and sale. This role reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager of Western Australia.
About the Role
- Providing leadership and clear direction to the CRC and Warehouse team, managing people, projects and develop a culture where people feel valued and recognised.
- Build strong relationships with the internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Working closely with Customers to build transparent Win Win Relationships
- Effectively plan and utilize resources ensuring completion of projects within budget.
- Work with business partners to execute and deliver the Operational Plan.
- Ensure all team members have clear understanding of required expectations and deliverables.
- Translate client and operational requirements into monthly, weekly, and daily schedules and planning.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, statutory requirements, safety standards & WHS requirement are met.
- Review and management of business unit costs with a focus on cost reduction or improvements
- Implement continuous improvement (CI) strategies to improve outputs and process efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance of the team within BTP’s policies and procedures.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in business, Engineering or associated degree or a minimum of 3 years’ Experience in a senior management position with 8 years post trade within heavy industry
- Able to lead multi-functional teams to achieve outcomes.
- Well-developed business acumen and critical thinking skills
- Experience with budgets, data analyse data and compiling reports.
- Understands how to influence key metrics such as Labour utilization, Work in Progress and Efficiency performance measures.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills, Able to multitask, prioritise.
- Professional discretion plus excellent interpersonal skills and time management
