Barminco has successfully tendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth. 

This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than 80% of the site’s power requirements through renewable energy sources. 

 

About the Role 

As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Maintenance Shift Supervisors to join the team on a full-time basis (8/6 FIFO roster from Perth). These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.  

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Shift Supervisors will assist with the delivery of the site-based maintenance plans based on schedules, support the integrate the repair of backlogged defects into the plan, monitor all aspects of the site maintenance performance

 

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like? 

  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, work orders, and workflow allocation for workshop and field maintenance teams.
  • Provide leadership, technical guidance, and support to maintenance personnel to achieve safety, production, and operational targets.
  • Execute and oversee planned and breakdown maintenance to ensure mobile plant and equipment availability and reliability.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company procedures, safe work practices, and operational standards.
  • Monitor workshop resources including tools, parts, consumables, and stock levels to support efficient maintenance operations.
  • Coach, train, and performance manage maintenance personnel, providing regular feedback to support KPI achievement and workforce development.

 

Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes 

 

  • Extensive demonstrated experience in the maintenance and planning of underground mobile equipment.
  • Possess valid Mechanical/Electrical Trade Certificate with significant years of relevant experience, preferably within mining environment.
  • Proven experience supervising maintenance teams, project management/planning experience and activities within mining or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, engage, and manage diverse teams.
  • Sound decision-making, analytical, planning, time management, and cost control skills with a strong focus on outcomes.
  • Experience using computerised maintenance management systems and reporting tools such as SAP or Pronto.
  • Good understanding of mining maintenance statutory, regulatory, risk, and safety management requirements, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
