Barminco hassuccessfullytendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth. 

This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than80% of the site’s power requirements through renewable energy sources. 

 

About the Role 

 

As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Underground Magazine Keepers to join the team on a full-time basis, working a 7/7 or 14/14 FIFO rosterThese roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.  

Your role will support underground production within a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement. 

 

 
What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like? 

 

  • Receive, store, and secure explosives and detonators in licensed magazines in accordance with regulatory and site safety requirements 

  • Issue explosives and blasting accessories to authorised personnel while maintaining accurate records and inventory logs 

  • Conduct routine inspections of magazines to ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental standards 

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate orders to maintain adequate supply for blasting operations 

  • Ensure correct segregation, handling, and transport of explosives and detonators 

  • Maintain detailed documentation, including explosive usage, stock reconciliation, and regulatory reporting 

  • Work closely with shotfirers, supervisors, and the mining team to support safe and efficient blasting operations 

 

Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes 

 

  • Previousexperience working in a similar role within the mining industry 

  • Explosives security clearance & Dangerous goods card 

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to site procedures  

  • Relevant operating tickets and licences  

  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment  

  • Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence)
