About our Role

Join the Barminco team as a Long Hole Operator and play a key role in our underground mining operations with opportunities available at multiple sites throughout Western Australia. You will contribute to safe, efficient underground production using state‑of‑the‑art equipment to drill production and blast holes accurately.

What will your day to day look like?

• Operate and control long-hole drilling rigs to drill production and blast holes accurately
• Read and follow drill plans, markings, and survey instructions
• Conduct pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting on drilling equipment
• Work with shotfirers, service crews, and supervisors to ensure safe and efficient blast preparation
• Maintain safe work areas, manage hazards, and follow underground safety procedures
• Record drilling data and report equipment or operational issues to supervisors

Our ideal candidate background includes

• Previous experience as a Long Hole Operator operating long hole or jumbo rigs.
• Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow detailed mine plans.
