Ausdrill are seeking a suitably experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Officer. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing the HSE and Injury Management activities, including overseeing Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, coordination of injury management, return to work and workers compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the health and wellbeing of employees.

·         Provide advice and assistance on injury management for work and non-work injuries.

·         Assist with the claims management process.

·         Develop and facilitate health initiatives and programs.

·         Oversee administration of the injury management function.

·         Participate in HSE team meetings, training, planning and other health, safety and environmental activities and initiatives as requested by Management.

·         Liaise with the relevant state statutory bodies as required i.e.: DEMIRS/ WorkSafe.

·         Assist HSE personnel with processing workers compensation claims and provide rehabilitation support to workers.

·         Promote continued legislative compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental requirements.

·         Involvement with wider company HSE team to provide continuous improvement and leading practice to the Ausdrill systems.

About You:

  •  Two years’ experience as a practicing Safety Practitioner (mandatory).

·         Two years’ experience – Injury Management & Workers Compensation (mandatory).

·         Cert IV WHS (Minimum)

·         ICAM Investigation

·         Allied Health Qualification - Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist or Occupational Therapist or similar.

·         Workers Compensation and Injury Management Coordinator Course

·         Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

·         Must have the ability to influence, engage and work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.

·         Ability to manage confidential and sensitive issues, applying discretion when necessary.
