Key Accountabilities will include, but not limited to:

 

  • Develop and execute the Corporate Technology Operations business plan aligned with IT and organisational priorities.
  • Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams, fostering inclusion, growth, and professional development.
  • Build capability and a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Contribute to IT strategic planning, budgeting, and technology roadmaps.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of core technology platforms, communications networks, data centres/cloud environments, and enterprise applications.
  • Ensure service delivery excellence with a focus on quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Manage ITIL-aligned service management processes (incident, problem, change, and request management).
  • Drive cost optimisation through process improvements and vendor negotiations.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for service performance and major incidents.
  • Build strong relationships across the business and ensure technology services meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Communicate operational performance, risks, and improvement plans to executive stakeholders.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships, including contract renewals.

 

Key skills and experience required for you to thrive in this role, will include: 

 

  • 10+ years’ experience in IT operations leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive positive change.
  • Expertise in infrastructure, communications, enterprise applications, and service management.
  • Strong vendor and contract management skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost optimisation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and cloud/hybrid environments (Azure/AWS/O365).
