FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER


Perenti seeks to engage a highly efficient and reliable Finance Business Partner to join our Corporate Finance team.


The role reports to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and as the Finance Business Partner, the main responsibility of the role is to deliver high quality and efficient accounting and reporting services to key stakeholders of Perenti, including the Corporate Finance Team and Corporate Function budget holders.


Key Accountabilities will include: 

  • Month end accounting requirements for the Corporate Function including accruals and cost allocations
  • Ensure the integrity of Corporate financial information, including preparation and posting of accounting adjustments, accounting advice to stakeholders and ensuring adherence to group financial control standards
  • Monthly reporting and variance analysis supporting the Corporate Function
  • Understand key variance drivers for the operating Divisions
  • End to end annual planning and quarterly forecasting for the Corporate Function
  • Partnering with the Divisions finance team to produce monthly board reports inclusive of Consolidated P&L, Capex, cash flows and other financial KPIs
  • Prepare consolidated Perenti budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide support to the FP&A Manager to enhance cost visibility and accountability
  • Identify and implement process improvements in planning & reporting to create efficiencies
  • Contribution to external results presentations
  • Other financial reporting & analysis duties to support the broader finance team


Experience and Qualifications: 


To be considered for this role, you will have the following experience, skills & qualifications:

  • Tertiary accounting qualification 
  • CAANZ/CPA qualified
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting or analyst role with demonstrated technical accounting skills and analytical skills
  • A keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to work
  • Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate to non-financial stakeholders
  • Advanced use of Excel 
  • ERP experience preferred, but not essential.
