Entry Level Underground Miner
Your journey with Barminco begins as an Entry Level Underground Miner, working as an underground truck driver and nipper. This role provides a strong foundation and genuine opportunities to progress into a variety of underground mining positions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working offside the Jumbo Operator, assisting with the installation of bolts and mesh for ground support
- Operating underground dump trucks to haul ore and waste
- Completing pre‑start checks on equipment and vehicles
- Learning critical underground mining skills as part of an experienced crew

Who We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from people who:
- Have experience in physically demanding roles such as trades assistants, labourers, farming, or drillers’ offsider positions
- Are motivated to start a long‑term career in underground mining
- Can commit to remote, rostered work on a 2:1 roster
No underground mining experience? That’s okay — if you bring the right attitude, we can provide the training.
What You’ll Need
To be successful, you must have:
- Full Australian working rights
- A current manual Australian driver’s licence
- A National Police Clearance issued within the last three months
