This is more than just another FIFO role. It's an opportunity to join one of Australia's leading drilling services contractors as a Drill Fitter, working on a modern fleet alongside a highly skilled maintenance team and contributing to the reliability and performance of critical production equipment. 

With FIFO ex Perth and flexible roster options of 2:1, 2:2 or 8:6 roster (site dependent), you'll enjoy the opportunity to build a rewarding long-term career while maintaining a strong work-life balance.

You will be hands on, accountable and trusted to deliver work that keeps our operations running safely and efficiently.

Working across a diverse fleet of industry leading equipment:

  • Rock Commander drill rigs
  • Epiroc DML drill rigs
  • Sandvik Pantera 1500 drill rigs
  • Sandvik Leopard DI650i drill rigs
  • Supporting equipment and ancillary assets

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance across the drill fleet
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults 
  • Responding to breakdowns and delivering timely repairs to minimise downtime
  • Maintaining the highest standard of safety, compliance and workmanship
  • Collaborating with drillers, supervisors and fellow tradespeople to maximise fleet reliability and availability
  • Accurately completing maintenance documentation an work orders in line with compliance standards

What you bring:

  • Australian recognised Heavy Duty (HD) Trade Certificate
  • Hold a current and valid Australian Drivers Licence
  • Proven experience as a Drill Fitter or HD Fitter working on drill rigs within an open pit mining environment
  • Strong hand on experience with Epiroc, Pantera and/or similar drilling equipment
  • Sound fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills across hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
  • A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and accountability
  • The ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality workmanship in remote mining environments
  • Ability to meet all site requirements (including, but not limited to Medical, DAS, NPC, valid work rights)
