This is not just another FIFO role. This is your opportunity to step into a key Drill Fitter position on one of Western Australia’s most significant gold operations.

 

Located deep within the Yamarna Greenstone Belt, approximately 180km from Laverton, Gruyere Gold Mine is a large-scale open pit operation delivering consistent production and performance in a true remote mining environment.

 

Ausdrill has secured a major project on site and is building a high-performing maintenance team to support it. We are now seeking experienced Drill Fitters who want to be part of something from the ground up.

 

FIFO ex Perth, you will have the flexibility to work a 2:1, 2:2 or 8:6 roster.

 

The Role

As a Drill Fitter, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimising a modern drill fleet in a fast-paced production environment.

 

You will be hands-on, accountable and trusted to deliver quality work that keeps the operation moving.

 

You will be working across:

  • Epiroc DML drill rigs
  • Pantera 1500 drill rigs
  • Rock Commander drill rigs

 

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults across hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
  • Attending breakdowns and minimising downtime
  • Maintaining high safety and compliance standards at all times
  • Working closely with drillers and supervisors to ensure fleet reliability

 

What You Bring

  • Australian recognised HD Trade Certificate
  • Hold a current and valid Australian HC licence
  • Proven experience as a Drill Fitter or HD Fitter on drill rigs in an open pit environment
  • Strong experience on Epiroc, Pantera or similar equipment
  • Solid fault-finding and diagnostic capability
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork and accountability
  • Ability to work in a remote FIFO environment
