We are actively seeking to recruit an experienced Alt. Project Manager to join us in our Canadian Operations based in Hemlo, Ontario on a 6 week on, 4 weeks off roster.

The successful candidate will be fully accountable for the performance of their Barminco operation across all areas including safety, environment & profitability, the role is vital to the success of our business. You will be responsible for providing effective leadership and management, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the project in order to maximise shareholder returns while sustaining excellence in customer satisfaction.

 

Preferably, but not limited to, degree qualified in Mining Engineering, the successful candidates must have demonstrated previous success as an Underground Mining Contract Project Manager. Candidates will possess the following skills and experience:

 

  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of underground mining techniques and the equipment employed.
  • Strong inter-personal and leadership skills with a strong team focus.
  • Working knowledge of basic economics and financial accounting.
  • Capable of establishing, managing, and executing a plan.
  • Sound judgement, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Understand the complexities and various aspects of managing an Underground Contract Mining scope.
  • Experience and understanding of the various aspects of commercial contracts.
  • Results and outcome driven.
