BTP is looking for an Account Manager based in our Hazelmere office, supporting our diverse WA client base. Can you maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, both directly and through support of the Business Development Managers? Do you have experience as first point of contact for all sales enquiries and able to build strong relationships? Can you identify clients’ needs and preferences then provide a solution that meet their requirements? 

 

Supporting Perenti’s Mining Services division, the successful individual will be the primary contact for customer core returns in the region.  Providing weekly outgoing communication to clients on their outstanding core status, getting commitment on return dates and reporting back to internal stakeholders.

This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager of Mining Services. Key Responsibilities  

 

  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide customised solutions to meet their requirements. 
  • Promote and contribute to a positive Health, Safety and Environment Culture. 
  • Manage client accounts, identifying opportunities for growth and pre-empting the clients needs. 
  • Provide additional products or services that are complementary to the clients work at hand.  
  • Monitor the client's satisfaction and work to resolve any issues. 
  • Develop plans that outline the strategy for managing the client relationship. 
  • Set goals, identifying key stakeholders, and developing action plans to achieve objectives. 
  • Collaborating with internal teams including Operations and Commercial personnel.  
  • Provide product and service expertise to clients. 
  • Identify opportunities to optimise and increase the use of verified non-OEM suppliers. 
  • Investigate opportunities to onboard new suppliers of aftermarket products. 
  • Prepare Quotes for BTP products and services.  
  • Be the primary contact for customer core returns in the region, developing, implementing, and managing the new GPS tracking system for BTP service exchange cores.   
  • Organise, attend, and contribute at Client meetings. 
  • Work with the Regional Sales Manager to develop and report on sales budget for the region. 
  • Maintain sales pipeline forecasts. 
  • Analyse sales on a weekly basis and have a clear view of the forecast estimates. 

 


About You  

 

  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the mining and heavy mobile equipment industry. 
  • Previous experience in parts sales or a relevant customer sales or support background. 
  • Detailed understanding of mechanical components utilised in heavy mobile mining equipment. 
  • Experience using Salesforce or equivalent CRM.  
  • Proactive, highly motivated with a collaborative team-orientated mindset.  
  • Effective time management.  
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; Advanced Word skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.  
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise with excellent time management skills.  
  • Professional discretion plus excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Hard working, self- motivated with good decision making.
