Auto Electricians | Mining Equipment | Workshop WA, NSW & QLD
BTP is seeking experienced and trade-qualified Auto Electricians for current and future Workshop opportunities supporting heavy mining and earthmoving equipment.
Our Auto Electrical teams provide diagnostics, maintenance, repair and technical support across a broad range of mobile mining equipment and associated systems.
Opportunities
Opportunities are available across BTP operations in:
- Western Australia
- Queensland
- New South Wales
The Role
Depending on the position and location, responsibilities may include:
- Electrical diagnostics and fault finding on heavy mobile mining equipment
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of electrical systems
- Troubleshooting starting, charging and control systems
- Diagnosis and repair of wiring, harnesses, sensors and electronic components
- Electrical installation and modification work
- Maintenance of lighting, monitoring and safety systems
- Testing and verification of repairs
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
- Working in accordance with OEM specifications, BTP procedures and site requirements and
- Contributing to safe, efficient and high-quality maintenance outcomes.
About You
To be considered, you will generally require:
- a recognised Australian Automotive Electrical trade qualification or equivalent;
- demonstrated experience working on heavy mining, earthmoving or mobile plant equipment;
- strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding capability;
- ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical information;
- experience with electronic control and monitoring systems;
- a current Australian driver's licence where required;
- a strong commitment to safety; and
- the ability to work effectively within either Workshop or Field Service environments.
Experience with CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi or similar heavy mining equipment will be highly regarded.

Remuneration will be determined according to the individual role, experience and location.
