Auto Electrician - Bellevue

Barminco has successfully tendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth. 

This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than 80% of the site’s power requirements through renewable energy sources. 

About the Role 

As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Auto Electrician professionals to join the team on a full-time basis, working a 7/7 FIFO roster. These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.  

Your role will support underground production within a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement. 

 
 What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like? 

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems on underground mobile equipment 

• Fault-find and repair wiring, starting and charging systems, batteries, and control circuits 

• Install and maintain safety systems, lighting, communications, and machine telematics 

• Conduct inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment availability 

• Respond to breakdowns and perform repairs in confined and challenging underground environments 

• Complete maintenance documentation and follow all site safety and compliance requirements 

Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes 

• Previous experience working as an Auto Electrician in underground mining  

• Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards  

• Experience operating within production-focused underground environments  

• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow mine plans and procedures  

• Current and valid Australian driver’s licence  

• Relevant tickets, licences and qualifications for the role  

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace
