About the Role

 

We are seeking a Systems Accountant to play a critical role at the intersection of finance, technology, and business improvement. This position is responsible for the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing support of financial systems (ERP), ensuring data integrity, efficient processes, and high‑quality reporting across the business.

 

Working closely with Finance, IT, and key stakeholders, you will lead and support system upgrades, process improvement initiatives, and user adoption—helping the organisation maximise value from its financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

 

Financial Systems & ERP

  • Lead or support ERP system implementations, upgrades, and module deployments.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for finance systems, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Manage system configuration, user access, and ongoing optimisation.

 

Process Improvement

  • Review, analyse, and map financial and business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Support the standardisation of finance systems and processes.

 

Data Integrity & Reporting

  • Oversee data migration, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation activities.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and automated reporting tools.
  • Ensure system accuracy and reliability to support decision‑making.

 

Training & Change Management

  • Deliver system training, workshops, and user support.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and procedures.
  • Support change management initiatives to drive system adoption.

 

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure financial systems comply with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Support audit requirements related to financial systems and data.

About You

 

You are a technically capable accountant with strong systems experience and a collaborative approach. You enjoy working across teams, translating business needs into system solutions, and improving how finance operates.

 

You will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or CA qualified or working towards. 
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g. TechOne, SAP, Oracle or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capability.
  • Experience in system implementations, upgrades, or process improvement projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem‑solving, organisation, and project coordination skills.
