AUMS Electrical Foreman Africa

We are actively seeking experienced Electrical Foreman to join us in our African Operations on a 6 week on, 4 weeks off roster.
The ideal candidate will come with the following experience & knowledge.
- Minimum 10 years as an Underground electrician
- Minimum 5 years as an Underground electrical supervisor
- Sound knowledge of Australian standards relevant to underground mining electrical systems
- Sound knowledge of maintaining electrical management systems
- Solid understanding of WHS requirements
- Sound computer skills
This position is a hands-on role and responsible in ensuring the effective transfer of skills and knowledge to National electrical personnel in HV preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance at the mine site, with all work performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the site leadership teams in the effective implementation of Barminco safety systems and initiatives to improve safety performance, as they pertain to the electrical function.
- Review working areas of sites and ensure compliance with all relevant Acts and Regulations, Barminco’s and our client’s policies, procedures, work instructions and standards.
- Ensure visual leadership interactions are undertaken.
- Support site electrical teams with planning.
- Liaise with site Project Management and Electrical Manager for any non-compliance and/or safety issues relating to site electrical concerns.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to site team members.
Education, Qualifications and Training:
- Electrical Trade certificate
- Unrestricted electrical license
- Electrical Nominee qualifications
- High Voltage operations certificate
- First Aid qualifications
