AUMS are actively seeking suitably qualified applicants to fill the role of Mine Surveyor based at our operations in Botswana – Zone 5 on a permanent roster of 6 weeks on, 4 weeks off. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly productive team environment and with a successful leading international contractor.
UG Mine Surveyor is responsible for completing all routine survey works in-field and office. Ensuring the design are correct and suitable to be implementation. Supporting development and production process at underground by producing survey plan, design setting out and as built report, either for development or production. Carry out the survey control station as per regulation standard of accuracy.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong knowledge how to use survey instrument and software.
- Degree Qualifications of Geomatic/ Geodesy Engineering.
- Strong background working within underground mining with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high-speed development mechanised mine.
- Understanding the concept of underground check survey.
- Understand how to create survey plan.
- Understand the concept of survey Weekly report, overbreak report and QA/QC report.
- Advanced communication skills in the English language both written and verbal.

A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol, and site-specific clearances. A National Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at time of interview.
