AMS Maintenance Specialist CAT - Africa

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist CAT to work onsite to provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to meet the objectives of the AMS Motheo (Botswana) maintenance department.

 

Key responsibilities and requirements:

 

  • Minimum 5 years post trade experience.
  • 10+ years industry experience
  • Expat experience working in Africa (preferred).
  • Certificate III in heavy duty equipment or its equivalent.
  • Strong track record in CAT heavy earth moving equipment – excavators, trucks, dozers, loaders, graders.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to national staff daily with the aim of upskilling and improving CAT team performance.
  • Work with maintenance manager and sectional supervisor to establish job priorities for the CAT team.
  • Physically fit and healthy.
  • Involvement in both long term and short-term decisions to ensure that short term, long term, backlogs, and defect repairs of CAT fleet are carried out appropriately.
  • Previous OEM work experience well regarded.

A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol, and site-specific clearances. A National Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at time of interview.
