About the Role

DDH1 Drilling is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate our drilling assets, equipment, and field operations across Australia. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll play a critical part in ensuring our drilling operations run safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the highest industry standards.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will work closely with Operations Coordinators, site teams, and support functions to deliver operational excellence while fostering a strong safety-first culture. 

This position can be based in either Perth or Brisbane

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership to drive high performance and accountability
• Plan, prioritise, and manage day-to-day operational and contractual requirements
• Ensure assets are efficiently utilised and mobilised to the right projects
• Manage logistics and transportation of equipment nationwide
• Support the setup of new drill rigs and specialised drilling projects
• Investigate and introduce new equipment and improved drilling techniques
• Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Maintain strong client relationships and respond promptly to queries
• Encourage and act on client feedback to enhance service delivery
• Always ensure professional and ethical representation of DDH1

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 8-10 years’ experience in the drilling industry
• Proven senior management and leadership experience
• Strong technical knowledge of drilling operations and equipment
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong planning, coordination, and organisational capabilities
• A proactive, safety-focused mindset

Key Compentencies and Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Sound knowledge of the Mines Safety Act and Regulations & WHS Act
• Ability to work under pressure
