DDH1, Strike and Ranger Drilling part of Perenti Drilling Services are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Support professional to join our team in Perth. Reporting to the Information Technology Manager, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support across our IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, security, and efficient service delivery to end users.
About the Role
Working within a collaborative team environment, you will provide day-to-day support across DDH1, Strike and Ranger Drilling IT systems, resolving incidents and service requests while maintaining strong system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyse and resolve infrastructure incidents, problems and service requests in a timely manner
- Accurately record and update all actions within the IT job management system
- Provide Service Desk support, including troubleshooting user issues and delivering one-on-one user guidance where required
- Perform preventative maintenance across systems and desktop environments, including upgrades and SOE management
- Monitor and maintain servers, networking, telecommunications and peripheral equipment
- Manage and test backup processes to support disaster recovery, business continuity and compliance requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and IT-related projects
- Participate in on-call roster and provide after-hours support as required

Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar IT support role
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence
Preferred:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware , Veeam Backup & Replication, Intune, Fortinet Routing & Switching
- Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN)
Working Environment
This role is based in Canning Vale and operates on a Monday to Friday roster. Some field work may be required, along with participation in an on-call roster (including after-hours and weekends). Additional hours may be required during system upgrades or critical incidents.
