About the Opportunity
To achieve our growth strategies, we are now seeking an appropriately qualified and experienced Health and Wellbeing Advisor (Injury Management) to join our team.
Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide support for the health and wellbeing of employees and provide advice and assistance on injury management for work and non-work-related injuries. Effectively manage claims, develop and facilitate health and initiatives programs.
Key responsibilities
- Injury Management: Oversee the management of injuries from initial reporting through to return to work, ensuring all processes comply with legislation and company policies.
- Claims and Procedures: Oversee the management of workers compensation claims. Review and implement injury management and wellness procedures, attend case conferences, and maintain case files.
- Wellbeing and Injury Prevention: Develop and implement workplace wellness, mental health, and injury prevention programs, including ergonomic assessments and manual handling initiatives.
- Medicals: Review pre-employment medicals and update medical assessment criteria as required
- Health and Hygiene: Oversee the Health and Hygiene Management Plan, ensuring compliance is met and the plan is updated with legislative changes.
About You
- Allied Health Qualification (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or similar).
- Injury Management qualification
- Experience working in a similar role (3 years)
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
