Field Service HRT Technician
DDH1 Drilling is Australia’s leading mineral exploration drilling company, operating one of the largest and most advanced drilling fleets in the country.
We are seeking experienced Field Service HRT Technicians to join our Maintenance team supporting operations across Western Australia and Queensland.
This role provides frontline maintenance support to DDH1’s heavy road transport fleet, service vehicles, trailers and ancillary equipment operating across remote exploration and mining environments.
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for safely maintaining and repairing heavy road transport assets in the field, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across our operations.
This is a hands-on role suited to self-motivated tradespeople who enjoy fault finding, working autonomously and delivering practical solutions in challenging environments.

Perform breakdown repairs and fault diagnosis in the field.

Conduct scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, driveline, braking, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Maintain and repair prime movers, service trucks, trailers, water carts and ancillary equipment.

Carry out component replacements and major repairs as required.

Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics.

Complete maintenance reports and service documentation.

Support operational teams by providing technical advice and maintenance solutions.

Maintain a safe and compliant work environment at all times.

Travel to remote locations and mine sites as required.

Australian recognised Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification.

Current HR Licence or higher.

Minimum 5 years post-trade experience.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability.

Experience working on heavy road transport equipment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

Experience with MAN, Mercedes-Benz and Hino platforms.

Mining, drilling or exploration industry experience.

CANBUS and OEM diagnostic software experience.

Toyota light vehicle experience.

Welding and fabrication experience.

Forklift, EWP, HRWL or Fire Suppression qualifications.
