Are you an experienced Solution Architect, with focused experience on system applications and looking for your next role? We now have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Solution Architect to join our dynamic Corporate Technology Team.

 

The role offers you the opportunity to work with a wide range of systems and to see projects through to the stage of system implementation. Reporting to the Architecture Lead, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration and documentation of software and technology solutions, mapping and translating the business requirements to systems / technical requirements and ensure they are in line with Perenti’s business requirements and the overall strategy.

 

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Translating business, functional, and non-functional requirements into effective solution architectures and designs, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and IT capability and strategy.
  • Define and design software technology solutions within the agreed Technology architecture.
  • Oversee the development, testing, and implementation of technology solutions, reporting on delivery commitments.
  • Communicate solutions effectively to business stakeholders and provide technical specifications to key technical stakeholders.
  • Identify and propose potential solution options, enhancements, and recommendations to address business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company application, information, network, infrastructure, and security principles and standards, as well as company technology-related policies.
  • Contributing to Architecture Governance by reviewing architectures developed by peers and contributing to meetings.

 

Key skills and experience required for you to thrive in this role, will include:

  • Ideally, you will have 5 years’ experience as a Solution Architect, with specialisation in Systems Applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and closely with business and technology stakeholders to design, develop and maintain solutions within the Enterprise Architecture Framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop or suggest solutions for business improvements.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in mapping current, transition and future state architectures within solution scope boundaries.
  • Possession of, or progress towards relevant industry specific qualifications for vendors such as Microsoft or ServiceNow, or certification in a recognised Architecture methodology (e.g. TOGAF).
  • Experience in using architecture modelling tools and repositories such as Orbus Infinity.
  • Strong corporate business acumen, preferably in the mining or resources industries, and an ability to articulate technology direction in business terms.
