The Opportunity:

Barminco Ltd is currently seeking a suitably experienced Transport Officer to join our Head Office in Hazelmere for an immediate start.

Reporting to the Transport Superintendent you will be required for supporting the team with loading and unloading of general freight in accordance with  company policies & procedures and adhering to all EHS&T guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Unload and load freight onto vehicles as required, including safe operation of Forklift

• Manually load transport containers with freight using safe manual handling techniques

• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly

• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility legislation

• Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry

• Essential - hold a valid forklift ticket

• Working knowledge of the Chain of Responsibility

• Demonstrated proactive workplace health & safety behaviours;

• A positive attitude toward work and is able to work independently in a fast paced environment;

• Excellent customer service skills, good communication, written and interpersonal skills

Hours of work are 7.00 am to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday. A competitive remuneration will be offered according to your level of experience in supply roles and within the mining industry. A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol screen. A National Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at time of interview.
