Human Resources Advisor
Are you a passionate HR professional with experience working in a fast-paced environment providing a great service? Due to parental leave, we have a full-time, 12-month maximum-term contract opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our supportive and collaborative Corporate HR team. This role will provide exposure to a wide range of Human Resources activities.
Reporting to the Manager Human Resources and Organisational Development, you will work with closely with the HR Business Partner to provide expert human resources services to leaders and employee at Perenti Corporate. You will play a vital role in delivering a broad range of HR services, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures; to foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
Key Accountabilities will include:
- Provide advice and guidance to employees and leaders on various HR issues, including employee relations, workplace policies, and conflict resolution.
- Escalate employee grievances and sensitive matters, such as disciplinary actions, terminations, and complaints to the HRBP.
- Assist with end-to-end recruitment activities, listing job advertisements, sourcing candidates, conducting screening and shortlisting, scheduling and conducting interviews, completing reference and background checks and onboarding new hires, to provide an exceptional candidate experience.
- Supporting performance management processes, including tracking completion and capturing development actions, provide advice around goal setting, and feedback mechanisms. Moreover, providing advice and tools to managers for managing underperformance and talent development.
- Monitor compliance with relevant Australian legislation, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES), and Modern Awards.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, such as headcount, turnover, and other key HR metrics using existing dashboards.
- Contribute to the development, review, and publication of HR Procedures and Guidelines to ensure compliance with Australian employment law and best practice, whilst monitoring review dates for corporate documents.
- Provide support in the execution of remuneration and reward reviews and monitoring leave accruals. Conduct BOOT analysis and present findings and recommendations to the HRBP.
Key skills and experience required for you to thrive in this role, will include:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and industrial relations.
- Demonstrated experience within a HR advisory or coordination capacity, with exposure to a wide range of HR Generalist activities.
- Proven experience in the provision of HR advice and services, in a professional services or corporate environment.
- Ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights to drive decision-making.
- High level of organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS, preferably SuccessFactors.
- Well-developed communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in Modern Award interpretation and Power BI reporting/dashboards are desirable, though not essential.

- This a full-time, initial 12-month, maximum term opportunity, based near the Perth CBD. Applicants who are looking for a part-time opportunity of 4 days per week, will be considered.
