To support our growth, we are seeking a HSE Advisor to join the Ausdrill exploration drilling team working at Gruyere mine site, WA on an 1/1 or 2/2 roster FIFO. 

 

Reporting to the Area Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide support and guidance to the Ausdrill exploration drilling team in relation to safety and training management, ensuring the team maintains high standards across all locations.

 

What the role entails:

  • Conducting field leadership activities in alignment with Ausdrill and client requirements.
  • Liaison with client representatives on safety and training related matters.
  • Engaging with the site leadership team to assist with incident investigations, action development and close out in a timely manner.
  • Coach/support the teams with hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Champion the Critical Risk Management program
  • Delivering effective training and VOC assessments in the field
  • Assist with Fitness for Work testing (BAC, Drug and Hydration Testing)
  • Maintenance of data and records across various internal and client management systems.
  • Develop, review and update site specific HSE manuals, policies, procedures, and management plans.
  • A curious mind and the ability to challenge the norm

 

What you need:

  • Strong organisational and presentational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated and proven commitment to safety and driving positive safety culture
  • Knowledge of the relevant WA legislation
  • Excellent report writing and computer literacy and the ability to use Microsoft office proficiently

 

Key Requirements:

  • Cert IV IN WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY or working towards.
  • Cert IV WHS Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
  • Operate and maintain a four-wheel drive vehicle (RIIVEH305)
  • 5+ years working experience in a similar role within the mining industry
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A current C Class drivers’ licence
  • A current National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months) or able to obtain one
  • HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
  • ICAM Lead investigator.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical
