Coordinator Transport

Start here, go anywhere with Barminco. Barminco is one of the world's largest hard-rock underground mining companies, with operations in Australia and across the globe. We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our Hazelmere team. 

 

This position is responsible for coordinating routine freight movements between Hazelmere and the Barminco sites in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with the Chain of Responsibility processes and procedures and all Barminco policies and procedures.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee the transportation and loading of general freight to company projects in all states of Australia.

  • Assist the Transport Supervisor as required in the loading and unloading of goods.

  • Coordinate and oversee the provision of third-party transport services between WA sites to cost effectively supplement organic resources in WA and interstate.

  • Coordinate trucking schedules to suit the operational requirements.

  • Assist in arranging permits and licensing for trucks on all routes so all regulations and guidelines are covered. This includes drivers where applicable.

 

Key Requirements;

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity within the mining sector or transport industry

  • Computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Previous experience with an ERP System (SAP preferred)

  • Full understanding of the Chain of Responsibility requirements associated with the shipment of goods.

  • LF Forklift ticket

  • Current Australian Drivers Licence Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A essential.

  • Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS & NPC)
