Components Rebuild Mechanics - Mackay
BTP has long term opportunities for suitably qualified Component Rebuild Mechanics to join our expanding team at our Mackay Workshop in full-time permanent positions. Shift work will be available both Day and Night Shifts.
Perform component rebuilds including engines, torque converters and transmissions to OEM specifications. Interpret specifications including critical measurements of components and ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and contamination control guidelines.
Key Requirements
- Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Trade Qualifications.
- Experience working on CAT, Komatsu, or Hitachi mining equipment.
- Sound knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, and drivetrain systems.
- Experience in engine rebuilds (not essential)
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence.
- Valid HR Forklift Licence (desirable)
- Dogging Ticket (desirable)
- Ability to meet all site access requirements including, but not limited to a Full Pre-Employment medical and National Police Clearance.

- Competent computer skills with experience using Caterpillar SIS preferred.
- Passionate about quality of work ensuring functionality and reliability exceeds customer expectations.
- Knowledge and application of Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace.
